Dr. Brennan gained interest and firsthand experience in chiropractic at a young age. After suffering from intense low back pain a week before a national volleyball tournament he was introduced to a chiropractor that was able to find the cause of the pain and help him return to peak performance. As he pursued his passion for learning he discovered many other benefits of chiropractic care. He found relief for his migraines and learned how chiropractic treatments and lifestyle programs could help prevent them from ever returning. With his renewed health he understood the essence of chiropractic care and the benefits of a balanced proactive approach to a healthy active lifestyle.
After completing a biochemistry degree he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with honours in 2004. He then established a successful practice in the U.S. until he moved back to Canada in 2011.
With his family practice in Nelson he is able to apply his passion to help people gain a better understanding of what they need to do to achieve their health goals and enjoy an active lifestyle.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST CHIROPRACTIC VISIT WITH DR. BRENNAN
When you arrive you will be greeted by Michele or Kris, our Chiropractic Office Assistants. If you have not already filled out the intake paperwork you will take a few minutes to fill it out before your appointment. The intake paperwork gives us an idea of your pertinent health history and identifies what you wish to accomplish with your treatment. You will also fill out an informed consent form and review our fees and cancellation policy.
There are four components to the first visit:
- Report of Findings
Upon completion of the paperwork and at your appointment time you will be taken back to an examination room where Dr. Brennan will greet you. He will then review your health history and identify your reasons for seeking care. This is where you can let him know what your ideal health goals are.
Next, Dr. Brennan will complete a thorough physical examination. This exam may include orthopedic tests, neurological tests, muscle strength testing, sensory tests, or a 3D foot scan.
Report of Findings
Dr. Brennan then uses all the test results in combination with your health history to present to you a picture of how your body is functioning. If he thinks he can help you he will lay out a plan that will allow you to achieve your health goals. At this point you can make a decision if you wish to proceed with the prescribed care at our office. If Dr. Brennan thinks he is unable to help you he will explain why and try to direct you to the appropriate person or service that he thinks will best serve you.
If you decide to continue with treatment, in most cases, Dr. Brennan will likely start your treatment in the same visit. In some cases he may not start treatment the same day, he will explain the reasons for this to you if it is the case.
In most cases Dr. Brennan will also prescribe exercises that you can do at home to speed up the healing process and help your body function better. The first visit will take about an hour. You should wear clothes that do not restrict movement.
At any time you are encouraged to ask questions and voice any comments or concerns you may have!!
