Dr. Brennan first evaluates you to determine if there is any interference, called subluxations, and then he locates where in the body these subluxations are. Once identified many different techniques can be used to correct the interference. You can see which techniques Dr. Brennan uses by clicking here.
If proper flow/communication is restored then we expect the body to function at an optimal state.
It’s not just how you FEEL
There are 3 main areas of nerves in the body.
The smallest percentage are pain/sensory nerves, however, this is what most people use to judge their health. In fact, the majority of nerves control 2 other areas: visceral function (organs: heart, lungs, intestines, bowels, etc) and motor function(ability to contract and relax muscles). If you cut a motor nerve and not the sensory nerve to your bicep you would be unable to contract the bicep but it would not hurt. This is why chiropractors examine you for not just pain but for how you function. We believe that your health should be judged not just on how you feel, but on how all three types of nerves are functioning.
