Dr. Michael Brennan

Dr. Brennan gained interest and firsthand experience in chiropractic at a young age. After suffering from intense low back pain a week before a national volleyball tournament he was introduced to a chiropractor that was able to find the cause of the pain and help him return to peak performance. As he pursued his passion for learning he discovered many other benefits of chiropractic care. He found relief for his migraines and learned how chiropractic treatments and lifestyle programs could help prevent them from ever returning. With his renewed health he understood the essence of chiropractic care and the benefits of a balanced proactive approach to a healthy active lifestyle.

After completing a biochemistry degree, Dr. Brennan attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with honours in 2004. He then established a successful practice in the US before moving back to Canada in 2011 to start a family. After a short stint in Calgary, he migrated to his wife’s hometown in Nelson to lay roots and integrate his passion for his chiropractic work with his love for his family. Recently, Dr. Brennan also became a Board member for the Nelson Waldorf School.

With his family practice in Nelson he is able to apply his passion to help people gain a better understanding of what they need to do to achieve their health goals and enjoy an active lifestyle.

Being a natural problem solver who loves a dynamic environment, Dr. Brennan particularly loves dealing with acute injuries that need special attention and longstanding injuries that beget looking at different approaches to heal. Additionally, Dr. Brennan has a particular passion for concussion management, starting with baseline testing and through all stages of treatment.

In his off time, Dr. Brennan can be seen on the ski hill, in the curling rink, chasing his kids around or swimming in Kootenay lake.
